Currently based in the UK, Luke and I are becoming keen bird enthusiast. We have currently spent many days off together searching local nature reserves for our winged friends, trying to capture some memorable moments on our cameras.

Luke knows more about birds than I, due to it being a key interest in his family, who have kept and bred birds for a while.

Here is a list of some of the birds that we hope to see on our adventures. There are many more on this list, but once we have crossed a few off, we will add more.

  • Yellow Hammer
  • Bittern
  • Osprey
  • Red Kite/White Kite
  • Sparrow Hawk
  • Razor Bill
  • Puffin
  • Turtle Dove
  • Cuckoo
  • Nightjar
  • Skylark
  • Nightingale
  • Fieldfare
  • Song thrush
  • Fire crest
  • Gold crest
  • Swift
  • Woodlark
  • Merlin
  • Falcon
  • Goshawk
  • Peregrine
  • ChiffChaff
  • Penduline Tit
  • Black cap

We are currently using two different camera’s. Luke went for a Nikon D3300, with a 70-300mm lens and the 18-55mm lens. Whereas I went for a Canon EOS 1200D, with the same lens (70-300mm/18-55mm). Knowing us, we will more than likely add to our lens collection so we can take some better, clear and clean photos.
